I draw attention to the fact that several small and large scales initiatives have already taken place in different countries and regions including the middle east in an attempt to reach autonomy in this new field in education. Several interesting teaching practices and ideas have been shared based on previous research or ideas shared by other educators. Over a 100 teachers from all over Qatar attended the event including representatives of local media.
